Marketing strategy

Strategy work that starts from your measurement rather than from a template. We look at what the numbers actually support, then write the plan the numbers justify.

What it covers

Three parts, in this order

Where the budget should go, and why

A budget allocation model built on your own contribution and payback data rather than category benchmarks. It shows what each channel would have to return to justify its share.

  • Channel level payback and contribution modelling
  • Explicit assumptions, written where you can argue with them
  • Scenarios for a bigger and a smaller budget
  • A stated list of what to stop funding
Shape of the work

How an engagement runs

Every engagement starts with a written brief rather than a verbal scope. That is the part that separates this from ad hoc consultancy.

01 · Weeks 1 to 2

Evidence

Customer, sales and performance data reviewed before opinions.

02 · Weeks 3 to 4

Model

Allocation and scenario modelling, with assumptions written out.

03 · Weeks 5 to 6

Plan

The written plan, the sequence and the measurement that proves it.

04 · Ongoing

Steer

Monthly review against actuals, and adjustment where the evidence moves.

Questions

The things people ask first

01Do you run the campaigns as well?
No. Dashon owns the strategy and the measurement. Execution sits with your in-house team, with Social Nerd, or with whichever agency you already use. Keeping those separate is what makes the performance review worth reading.
02What if our tracking is not good enough yet?
Then we fix that first. Strategy built on numbers you cannot trust is guesswork with better formatting. Most engagements start with a tracking audit for exactly this reason.
